After 3 days of racing the race ended for the first time in the 60 year history of the event with a historic dash for
first place. Andrew Birkett pipped previous Dusi K1 winner Ant Stott to first place. It was a perfect finish to a race
that can be only be termed as remarkable. Birkett won Day 1 and Stott managed to push past him to win Day 2
so it was everything to play for on the 3rd day and the two did not disappoint.

The ladies race was a different affair, with Robyn Kime leading from Day 1 and building up a substantial lead
over the three days. Kime came into to win the race a massive 21 minutes ahead of second place Abbey Adie.
For The Unlimited, this was a culmination of many months of hard work, planning , organising and sleepless
nights. Our PR team did us proud and really created a great visual display of our brand. The feedback has been
really positive and as one SABC reporter was overheard to say, it was the best branded event he has ever
attended.

In the pictures are Oppa and Elizabeth, two Premier Direct members who along with David Comins and Ivan
Jones enjoyed the finish of the second day at Inanda dam. Maybe next year these pictures will include Premier
Direct members who finished the Unlimited Duzi as well!
